Suede Fringe Necklace Tutorial

It's Memorial Day weekend and the non-official beginning of summer! Temperatures have been in the 80's and 90's all week so I would definitely have to agree. When the weather gets balmy and hot here in the south, my jewelry designs usually take a beachy direction. This easy stringing project has beach vibes without being over the top. Faux suede lace fringe is accented by shell tube beads and interesting shell-like triangle beads. This necklace makes a statement without being heavy or cumbersome. The length of the necklace is lightweight elongated cable chain that is less likely to get caught in your hair like some of the smaller chains have a tendency to do. All in all, I think this is a fun little project that definitely has me thinking of more inspiring beach pieces that you can get away with wearing without actually being at the beach.

Stringing is good for the soul

I've said it time and time again, simple stringing is good for the soul. There's just something very satisfying about putting beautiful beads all in a row. You can't go wrong with the right beads. This project is all about COLOR! The brighter the better.

For this easy necklace I've combined some beads from another Jesse James Beads Goddess Collection and some beautiful bright blue faceted rondelles from my own stash. Pops of lime green, magenta and electric blue make this project one that will take you through spring and all the way through the warm days of fall.

The magenta beads came from the Saraswati Collection Mini Bead Mix from Jesse James Beads. The lime green beads and the awesome Hamsa pendant came from the Saraswati Inspiration Bead Mix. The entire Saraswati Goddess Collection is all about creativity and color and I can't get enough of it. The bold colors definitely get my creative juices flowing.

Knotted Hemp and Leather Cord Bracelet with Button Clasp

Today's project is a long one. I try to keep the videos as short as I can but there was no way around making this one a bit longer than my past videos. It's worth it to see the knots over and over if you are unsure of how to complete them. This project uses a really good set of beads from Jesse James Beads. It's another mini mix from their Goddess Collection - Oshun Mini Bead Mix. You can also purchase this cool mix within the larger collection - Goddess Oshun Bead Bundle where you can get the mini mix as well as two strands and an inspiration bead mix. This bracelet also features hemp and Greek leather from Beadalon and the Tying Station which is one of my favorite tools.

You may also notice that I am uploading on a Monday instead of a Sunday. I am hoping to change my upload day to Monday's from now on. I apologize for any confusion - but Monday uploads are a great way to start your week and hopefully gives you some inspiration for the rest of the week. Thank you again for watching and for all your support. Please send me project requests!! I would love to make a video for you!
